TERRIFIC THURSDAY!

Finally, peace at last. reconciled with my princess. the cold war was broken up this morning.

me: tonight i'm bringing you to eat hor.

her: huh? where? what time? don wan lah. (walks away)

after 3 secs,
her: (walks back) orchard hotel ah? don wan lah, dinner don wan eat so full. somemore i end work so late, tired liao.

me: den don work loh. take half day leave lah! i bring you go eat.

her: hmm. ok loh. den i take leave loh. we go eat buffet lunch bah.

me: *grins to myself* (hahaha...)

finally, we decided on a Chinese Restaurant @ Plaza by the Park. She reached there @ 1.30pm, when i was STILL in school!!! upon receiving her call, i rushed down by CAB.

oh man, don get me started on the freaking ERP charges.

Call cab :$2.00 (cox SMRT, cheapest, nowadays i patronise them a lot)
Journey $8.50
ERP @ Orchard after CTE exit: $0.50
another ERP jux less than 1 km away, junction of bras basah road n selegie rd: $1.50
Total charges: $12.50

wah piangz! blood sucker man.. imagine u're travelling to either bras basah, suntec or marina... and you decide to take CTE.. that's another $2.00 extra, $1.50 more if the gantry @ AMK/ TP area is in operation too. Throw in peak hour surcharge $1 and call cab fee $2.. and viola !!! you pay an extra $6 even before the cab moves off!!! OMG...

well, i digressed. back to the bdae celebration.

our lunch plan was foiled cox the restaurant din accept bookings. Mummy walked in and had to wait. by the time i reached (ard 2.05pm), we still had yet to get a table, and the last order was @ 2.30pm..

we decided not to eat there but adjourn down to her fav coffee house @ the Furama Hotel.

x years ago, she patronised Furama Hotel's wkend high tea buffet and she won lottery. The no. was the bill no. den for the next few consecutive weeks, she won lottery. every single week. though sometimes it was just consolation prize, but there were times when she won big time too.

well, that was x years ago. where has all the money gone u ask me? i'll like to know too man.

i digressed. again.

back to Furama. oh yes, when we reached there, we were 'kindly informed' that the lunch buffet was over and they DO NOT have high tea buffet on weekdays.

DAMN! 2 hungry stomachs and nothing to eat.

finally, we moved opposite to a food court @ pearl centre.. yummy lunch cox the standard of the food there was amazingly high.. go try it again someday.... oh yes, and i bought a red winter coat cox there was a sale! (see pic above) gonna bring dear there after his exams so he can find one which fits him.. hehe...

after lunch, i suggested shopping while mummy suggested ktv. what to do? HER BDAE mah. so i jux followed loh. she brought me to Tiong Bahru Football Clubhouse @ Pearl Ctr... we sang and ordered beer.

TIGER BEER. lol!!!

lemme explain.. cox hor.. the drinks (juices/ soft drinks) all quite expensive... ard $8 per glass.. but a jug of beer only costs $15... of cox order beer loh..

mummy was scared she would get drunk.. so she drank half a mug.. i finished the rest of them. She was amazed, but at the same time slightly relieved cox she was afraid i could not drink and might get into trouble when i went out wif friends.. haha...

after ktv, we wanted to head down to Orchard Hotel for buffet dinner, but both of us were not hungry yet.. so we decided to canx the buffet and head down to OG instead. in the end, i bought a handbag for her and another one for myself too.. haha..

den we came back to Chomp Chomp where we had our dinner.. (see pictures above) Super Duper Ultra FULL after the feast comprising Stingray, Satay and Oyster Omelette...

headed home and now she is soundly asleep. i hope she enjoyed today as much as i did.

to end off my tiring day, here is my quote of the day:
"it only takes a little effort to put a smile on other's face. i have done it. you?"
