i had a great time @ the stadium with my kids...

was supposed to attend a colleague's daughter's wedding dinner @ Marriot Hotel last night, but my NE coordinator needed me to help bring 5B to the NE Show.. so no choice, had to give up the dinner... anyway i tot it was really meaningful to visit the last ndp @ the national stadium before it is gone... and also... a friend of mine was participating in the show too as the president's escort convoy... and i got a chance to see it LIVE! so proud of him! *beams*

day started in sch @ 12pm.. went back to do some marking after brunch wif dear and sister... rained ard 1pm.. but luckily the rain stopped jux before we were about to set off to the stadium... managed to settled the kids quickly and distributed the goodie bags to them.. everyone was sooo excited... including me!!

i love the white cap with the national flag that can flash! and also the nokia hp torchlight! heeh...

saw a lot of friends there... JC Friend Jingyi (she's working for the media now!!), my NIE classmates like Shun Cheng, Erlin and lots lots more.. haha...

and also a lot of friendly army personnels there... haah.. helped me to clear the way so that my class could enter wif a breeze... heeh...

and also a motivator who kindly made me a nice flower balloon.. all my students got soooo jealous of it and kept pestering him to make them one too! haha....

my school was allocated a 'feng shui' seat... jux next to the flying fox stunt performed by Gurmit Singh, Michelle Chia and Jean Deanker... so so so nice!! heheheeh.. and we also got a bird eye's view of the parade.. managed to see the escort convoy, the fireworks happening jux above my head... the choir in full view.. ehhee... cool man...

i m proud to be a singaporean. i sang all the songs wif pride and joy.. and my kids were so stunned to see me so 'high'.. and i love the song 'Absolutely Everybody' most!!!

NE Show ended at 8 plus.. but our sch was one of the last to be called to leave the stadium.. reached sch ard 1030pm.. super tired liao... but i had a great slp last night.. cosy under my comforter...

oh yes, i sinned again yesterday. a boy from Woodlands Pri offered me this innocent looking pc of white chocolate. i din want to break his heart by rejecting it.. so i took it, and savoured every bit of it.

Itz been a while since i updated... busy.. and tired too...

Attended MOE Excel Day last fri.. picked up some useful teaching tips.... went for tuition @ Sgn Nth... den to Bishan for SUPERMAN with dear dear.. bumped into James there... such a surprise... he was wif his gf.. but nv intro to us... itz been a while since i last saw him liao.. i think more than half a year ago liao... when he was sitting opp my house.. at the stone bench? wah.. itz really been long........but itz good seeing old friends once in a while.. brings back memories.. some good... some bad...

Full day drama workshop @ SCTU on Sat.. den dinner with dear's family to celebrate sister's bdae.. got her a Bilabong sch bag... v chio.. haa......... caught the Germany-Portugal match @ dear's house @ night... we both fell aslp .. but luckily we managed to wake up to watch the match.. ehhe...

Sun was tuition in the morning... den nap.. den dinner...

monday morning was a mad rush cox my kids did a skit on Respecting our Elders... luckily everything turned out well..

SEED CL discussion on tue wif Gina, Anthony and VP. things seem to get better btwn the 2 of us now.. jux hope the change is here to stay... one more friend is always better than one more enemy...

Jux got back from Seletar Ctry Club.. today's Contact Time was replaced by a makan cum bowling session there... we all had fun washing the 'long kangs' of the bowling alley.. haha.. but everyone had fun.. that'z the most impt thing... itz fun seeing a grp of tcrs behaving like kids.. so noisy so rowdy.. haaaaaa.... the bus sent us back to sch.. and here i am.. blogging...

Sun shd be another tuition day.. den r&r till night time with dear.. before another hectic wk begins...

went back sch on mon despite it being a sch holiday. gd thing was i managed to clear most of my marking, except P4 and P5 compo (Oh god.. kill me...)

ordered in KFC for lunch. bad move. was already 'heaty' liao.. that meal jux seemed to push the 'heat' to greater heights.

perhaps it was also the Pest Control in the morning. the stench was unbearable, and i hope the stupid fell(s) drops dead soon. REEEEAL soon. my life has been wrecked upside down by it. and i wonder how long more i can survive.

went to Lifelink to see the doc rgding my leg itch. cost me a blardy $35. den went ah ma's hse for dinner @ night, den was whisked off to dear's house for a power nap. went home @ 10pm. concussed after eating medicine.

tue morning. things din feel right the moment i woke up. serious diarrohea, almost wanted to vomit. think case of food poisioning. whole day v giddy and drowsy. fever too. but i managed to last thru the day, attended WITS mtg and even went tuition. couldn't take it anymore, went to see WP Sim. case confirmed - fever and food poisoning, mainly attributed to lack of sleep. wanted him to prescribe me sleeping pills but he refused. told me to rest well and rest more (I really wish i can!!!). another $19 damage.

dear summer was wif me too, cox her eyes were itchy and she kept tearing. in the end, Sim said she had to see an eye specialist ASAP!!! din even charge her for consultation or medicine..serious man.. so we rushed down to see this eye surgery centre @ AMK where dear treated his swollen eye some time back.

a long wait.. and an even longer bill.. $122!!! but as long as the eye can be treated, everything is worthwhile lah... summer girl shd be @ home resting now i guess... recover soon ok? hehehe.....

woke up this morning, slightly better, managed to finish my breakfast, but seems like the diarrohea problem is still there. hope i can really recover soon. gg for the Microsoft Office Challenge @ NYP later. jux hope for the best, hope that i can do the tasks assigned.

if i could choose between being rich and healthy, i would definitely NOT go for the former.

Money, it seems, can't always solve everything.

A SWIM, A RAT & A RESTLESS NIGHT

had a long day in school yesterday. and tutition too.

work ended ard 6pm yesterday.

met up last min. wif summer for a night swim.

i can't really remember when was the last time i swam @ night.

totally comforting, relaxing and rejuvenating.

the water was warm yet cool, the shower was cool yet refreshing.

in less than a wk's time, D will be getting his new Getz.

reached home, all ready for bed. room door closed.

esp. by its continuously gnawing sound ard 3-4am.

i shopped ard @ Popular after that.. picked up some stamps.. headed home n acc dear 4 a haircut. den met Summer gal gal @ amk after that, and we headed down to My Friend's Pub.

the gang got him a Billabong bag. hope he liked it.

on the way home, i realised i forgot my keys.. dear was in hall.. so kind Summer took me in for the night.

we had MAC for supper, watched Kelly and S.H.E's VCDs, 1st half of the France match etc....

god knows what time i actually fell aslp. the 3 alarm clocks kept ringing n ringing.

got home @ 6plus this morning, cox mummy was up by then liao.

lucky i din get a scolding. concussed immed. till 2pm today.

in future, i must be more careful and not misplace.forget.takethingsforgranted.

but yesterday was a GREAT night.

and i enjoyed every bit of it!

EXTRAORDINARY THURSDAY

after a long day of practice and competition,

i m pleased to announce...

3 of my kids made it to the next round of the competition!! aka tom @ 4pm!!!

was a long day for them, for me too..

my colleague who WAS on maternity leave is back in school. but she still doesnt smile when she sees ME. boo.

6 new trainees have reported to my sch as well, met the trainee in my dept too. seems like a humble lady. and also one of my sch mates from NYJC too! he was in Pugilistics during the NYJC days... haaaaa. we both got a shock when we saw each other! wat a surprise!! haaaaaaaaa.

had tea wif Sharlyn @ NLB... itz been chatting wif her for the past 2 days.. hehe... went home after the results were announced at ard 5pm.. after a 20 mins long wait for cabs.

dear came to pick me up after work.. went to east coast...

itz been a great evening wif dear dear...

the sumptous food, the ultra-cooling breeze, the song session and the hugs.

thks dear, for making my ordinary thu evening an extraordinary one.

LAST WK OF HOLIDAYS!

officially the last wk of the june holidays

jux ended a 3 day course @ NIE.

which also explains the sudden flood of amateur quality poems (1 of them was my assignment while the other 2 were done in the midst of the boring lectures.. ha...)

itz been 2 weeks since i last spoke to my mum @ night.

at night = after her work@ 6pm and before her sleep @ 9pm.

the only times we have been communicating for the past 14 days were during the morning drives.. short, but meaningful.

had tuition last sat, den to Queensway and IKEA.. got a Germany jersey for his dad... dear and i had the swedish meatballs and fried chicken wings... omg... slurp slurp!

Sun was spent like this: tuition, den shopping wif dear's mum and sis in the afternoon.. for the 1st time i drove dear's car w/o dear in it!!! he had to do canvassing for his hall dnd... so i drove his mum and sis down to Bugis and Compasspoint to shop.. a bit nervous @ first... but ok after that.. ha.. wat an experience! and.. dear's mum and me bought the SAME top! haa... tatz y she likes to shop wif me.. cox we have similar tastes.. (minus the sequines etc.. she cannot stand them! haaa... ) den we had steamboat dinner (again!) with his dad and grandfather.. so so so full... cox we ate n we stop.. den we ate and stopped again... lolx

rcd dear's msg on Tue morning.. @ first i tot he was joking wif me.. turned out he was really on MC.. lost concentration in class the whole dae.. wanted so much to skip lesson and go take care of him.. but no choice... last day of the course... and a grp presentation due... luckily in the end dear felt better.. if not i really v 'xin tong'.. heard that meimei cooked mee for him to eat... awwww... she can be a real darlin sometimes... hehehe

2dae was spent wif my kids.. 9am-12pm... drilling them for the competition tom afternoon.. den after it ended, i rushed down to Bras Basah for the Day 1 judging... some kids did really well.. i hope my kids can do equally well tom! haaaaaa...... it was a hot day under the tent... macham sun tanning...

but i guess kindness begets kindness afterall. was given a certificate of appreciation as well as a $100 shopping voucher. haaaaaaaaa.....

another reason for me to shop this month!

104 kids tom. only 20 can qualify. how many of mine can make it?

time will tell. everything.

off to bed. again. though i slpt frm 6pm- 10pm jux now, i m still tired, or rather, i am tired already.
