Had a smashing 3D2N camp @ Labrador Adventure Camp from 5th to 7th September. though the campsite was an ulu ulu old school (used to be Pasir Panjang Sec School) and looked a bit ‘eerie’… it was a great for teachers and students to bond….
Day started early @ 730am for me.. had to prepare some stuff.. kids came in to school @ 8am.. after some housekeeping matters, we left for LAC at around 10am…the school hired external facilitators to look after the kids.. so in a good way, we were free from having to shout, scold them.. but at the same time I felt that the bonding with the kids were also minimal as we did not accompany them for most of their outdoor activities… we just sat at one corner, some of us were in charge of following the groups and ensuring minimal injuries.. others were in charge of preparing their food…
One of the most memorable activity was the painting of a ZHONGHUA mural (see pictures below) . My ART coordinator Ms Yasmeen choose a big wall and started to display her creativity…in the end we had a really BEAUTIFUL Zhonghua Mural adorned with the palm prints of some 200 plus kids and teachers!
Through this camp, many kids learnt new stuff… they enjoyed the 3D2N very much.. despite having to sleep in bunks which were pretty hot and stuffy.. hehe….
Really reminds me of the times I had at leadership camps…Hmmmmmmm…..
Enjoy the pictures!
