yet another week has passed.. how time flies.. me already into my 1st mth in ZPS...
school has been great. wif my kids. can feel myself bonding well with them..despite the occasional shouting and screaming @ thos little devils, discipline has been pretty smooth-sailing for me...
trying my best to keep to the adhered timeline n work schedule... my poor kids are always going home with homework.. hehe.. so they know wat to expect at the end of my lesson - delegation of homework.. hehe...
my P3 and P4 participated in the storytelling competition held in the school on Friday. P4 came in 2nd, P3 did not win antg.. but it was a great bonding session with them, though i only got to know 8 kids slightly better.. i mux refrain frm practising favouritism though i have identified some 'pet' students.. hehe... and i wanna try my best to balance the after school activities wif varied groups of students..
my P2 class is generally smart, with the exception of a few who are namely: autistic, attention-seeking, angmoh potato who has jux rtn to Singapore frm Australia in June 05 and as usual, a few talkative ones... being young, they are easier to control. jux a fierce stare or a loud shout can send them shivering @ the edge of their seats.. haha... last fri i was so angry wif a few students : Yi Xiong, Jun Fan, Xu Xuan, Qi Quan and Zheng Wei.. punished them and made them go w/o ting1 xie3 .. threatened to give them 0 marks.. aiyoh.. all cry like shit.. but it was a good warning to them as well as the whole class.. but in the end i will still let them sit for their ting1 xie3 on Monday.. hehe.. being the nice Weng Laoshi that i am.. heheheh
P3 kids are also a very well-behaved bunch.. and i tend to feel closest to them.. thinking of bringing them to the workshop on friday.. and not the P4s .. haha.. cox later the P4 will surely accuse me of practising favourtism towards the kids who can get to go for the workshop...
P4 is also an intelligent group of kids.. most no. of china kids and indonesia kids in my class.. but also many many weak ones... disciplining this class is also the toughest cox they are slightly older... so screaming and shouting and being fierce alone will not be enuff.. it helps by playing some mind games with them and getting them to do the opposite of wat u say (intentional planning) ... haha....they are kids afterall.. hehe...
the school trip to Kukup on Sat was v fun... sat in the same bus and the same lunch table wif my principal, rcd some compliments from him for being a 'good leader'... hehe.... the kids, dear dear and i also saw fruit tress, fishes and went shopping.. dear bought me a really lovely adidas top... he also got the same one.. as well as his dream shoes!!! much nicer than the pair which i saw in Taipei @ S$180.. hehe.... breakfast at the coffeeshop (fried guo tiao and kuey chap), the-not-so-nice seafood lunch and the yummy dinner @ Marrybrown on the swing was also unforgetable.. hehe...... thks dear dear for a wonderful time... 1st travel milestone of our life completed... looking forward to the year-end holidays!
