HAPPENING TUESDAY

today was indeed a SUPER DUPER happening day.

morning started wif both dear and me oversleeping (in our own homes respectively) and being late for our gathering wif dear's friends..

in the end i hailed a cab to dear's place to have brunch wif him and mei mei.. after tt we got a cab to his ah ma's hse to drop mei mei for her tuition.. her teacher is a 19 yr old JC student.. looks a bit like one of dear's friend (the petty n stingy one) though dear doesnt see any resemblance..

den clever us tot of saving $$ by taking bus 25 to eunos and changing cab to his workplace @ Genting Lane to rtn his worker pass. In the end we boarded the cab of a hell driver (hell cox we almost got into an accident twice, and dear could have lost his left hands and legs. twice.)1st he din noe the way frm eunos crescent to genting lane (even suggested PIE!) , den he drove to the wrong place, and den he REFUSED to let me wait for dear in the cab while he went to to rtn his pass. he pressed the meter, den gave a *oh-sorry-i-din-noe-u-wanted-me-to-wait-for-him* kindda look. even had the cheek to ask me "u wan to take my cab again? i got to press the $2.40 button once more" . SUPER SMIRKY FACE pui!

F***! me got 'backbone', would rather walk my way out of the stupid industrial area wif dear than to beg him to turn on the meter back again. so i alighted. wat the hell !!!

if only i could ... i would strangle him... mayb chop him up and feed him thru a mincer? jux like wat a british man did to his friend. mince him up before burying him. argh.

luckily we managed to hail another cab which was leaving the bldg next to ours, and the nice fella got us to Aljunied MRT station for $3 exactly. no accidents, no hell driving.. jux an experienced and quiet taxi uncle. yeah!

following that, dear and i headed to cuppage for KTV. it was a gd deal, 1 for 1 drinks during happy hour for member, on top of the free 4hrs room charge and 20% off the total bill. in the end, we paid $28 for 4 bubble teas and 4 hrs of non-stop singing. cool!

went off to meet dear's hostel friends @ Plaza Singapura. initial plan was Japanese dinner and den movie. you'll never guess wat thwarted the whole plan!

FIRE. AT PLAZA SINGAPURA. ALL THAT HAPPENING ON A TUESDAY EVENING!

a shop on the 2nd floor caught fire, and the smoke whizzing thru the air caught my attention during the *super-unenjoyable* dinner. a nice Jap rest. with ambience, but the svs was way tooooo slow.. dear and i shared 3 plates of sushi in 30 mins.. den when i asked the manager why our orders were taking so long, she had the cheek to tell me "oh.. cox our chef is busy kneading the rice dough in the kitchen. your orders are not available on the conveyor belt so u must wait."

i was like "wtf???"

den before i could get my fill, the fire episode came. pple were all running like mad at the floors below us, some even screaming and shouting.. and a whole bunch of us idiots were happily and blissfully enjoying our sushi dinner @ level 6. if not for my kpo-ness, i think we would only have known abt the fire upon the arrival of the firemen.

worst thing was.. the rest. manager tried to play it low key so as to minimise losses to her business. before they allowed us to go, waitresses were counting the number of plates we had eaten.. and shoved a bill at us to make payment. in a midst of the smoke and confusion, obedient Singaporeans were still queuing up dilligent behind the cashier and waiting for their turn to make payment to the sushi restaurant! what logic is this? if the bldg had exploded, i think all the miney in their cash register would have been burnt too loh!

tatz where dear (who was waiitng to pay) was dragged out of the rest by me, wif our friends following behind us... everyone laughed when we told them news abt enjoying a free dinner! haha... so much for all the excitement...

seriously, i think the security @ P.S is useless. frm the way they alerted, evacuated the shoppers and reacted to the whole incident.. i really don dare to frequent PS anymore... not to mention watching a movie there! for your info i think the cinema-goers were unaware of the fire happening below and they were still enjoying their show.. to think that WE were initally the ones inside the cinema, had it not been for the last minute dinner plan.

left PS after getting a confirmation that we would be refunded for our tickets. headed to City Hall Cafe Cartel for the second part of our dinner. met Zhang Ying, Jessie, Huihui and the rest there... thrilled to catch up wif Jessie for a while before leaving...

very pissed off with regards to wat happened. it really makes me rethink abt many issues.

they say Singapore is a safe country. you think so?

itz too much for a tueday. i nid a breather. off to sleep i guess.

thks yan for listening to me. thks to dear and his friends for a great and happening evening.

i love you dear, no matter wat happens. thks for being who you are. muackz

off to zzz now.
