it just gets busier and busier....
lots of things to be done... not enought time...
rehearsed the CNY concert item wif my P5 kids on Monday.. ended late and i was having a super running nose and a slight fever... supposed to meet the sisters for dinner @ orchard but i couldnt attend... slpt the moment i got home and ate medicine... tired.
woke up in the middle of the night thrice... running fever... ate medicine... slpt again... was on course on Tuesday @ MOE... all the way till 530pm.. got home ard 7pm... ate dinner and slpt... tired.
contact time on Wed... though it ended early cox No. 1 and No.2 were not around, the chinese dept had to stay back to decorate the school... ended everything around 5 plus... kind colleague sent me back.... got home... blogged for a while... last min decision to rush down to Far East wif yan to do our nails... had waffle and ice cream... reached home around 11... tired.
had supp class on Thu with my P4s.... after that i had to rush off to tuition...taught her till 530pm... went home...watched tv... slpt... tired.
fri was another long day.. had supp class in the afternoon with my P5s... den sisters came to fetch me to TX's ROM.... it was a wonderful and touching ceremony... see pics below... dinner @ Plaza Hotel was yummy... ate fresh oysters, mussels, iced prawns, cheese baked oysters, tepan yaki fish n salmon, sashimi, tempura prawns, shark's fin soup, salad, fried soft shell crab and fish slices... and a cup of hot milo.. haaaaaaaaaaaa
yesterday, i went back to school to rehearse the skit again... left sch around 2 plus.. met dear dear and we had kuay chap for lunch... den in the evening we went to watch Memoirs of a Geisha... v nice show... den we went to Paulanders to celebrate Per's bdae... Sooooooo many people... we had 5 long tables... and saw lots of pple.... there was Per... Paul... Lizhong... Baocun...BC's gf... Don.. Davis... Andrew...Dilong... DL's gf...Kean Ka... Germaine... Pamela... Gary... Fook San...Lishan... LS's bf... and lots more!!! the beer there was v ex!!! 2 glasses cost us ard $25... omg.... den we sat till ard midnight... den shared cab back with Lizhong while the rest of the gang went to KBox @ Marina Square...
Itz Sunday once again... and dear's currently out with his D&D committee.. but meeting him later... to go Chinatown... hehe... and then itz another busy week ahead...

T1W2
Week 2 has been cool.. jux a little busy...
2 days spent wif Jessica was fun! she's starting P3 this year... trying to get her interested in reading.. and good news.. her mum wans to increase the frequency from once to twice a week.. which means i can get to earn more pocket money! haaa..
Tue was Hari Raya Haji... supposed to meet dear dear but he had things to do @ the last minute... Summer was off too ..so we met up to go shopping @ Bugis... bought a green jacket from Giordano cox i had to wear it the next day for our school's 'Eat Satay Day'... haaaaaa ... oh and we ate the ma la steamboat at bugis... summer loved it.. hehe.. and i tried the fresh cockles too.. v v tasty and juicy... after tt we went down to look for kajua for a while before heading home...
attended some CRPP briefing in school after contact time on wed... a stupid collabration btwn them and our school.. meaning more work for all the P4 teachers.. why in the P4 of all levels? sighz.... no choice loh... which means i have to do it too cox i teach P4.... lucky thing was that i got to go to Bedok 85 to eat dinner... ha... yummy sotong, cockles, wu xiang and porridge... slurp slurp... but then @ night rained heavily again... until couldnt see the road... esp along Hougang area.. haiz... but still made it back in one piece.. ha...
Thu was another busy day in school... went tuition... den met up wif TL for dinner and shopping @ J8... we had swensens.. walked ard... den went popular where TL spent $120 buying assessments for her students... haaaaa.. we took a cab back after that... and i finally managed to chat wif summer, meiyan and tanlin online using skype.. it really works man! a cheaper way to communicate now... yeah!
Fri was a long long long day... had to audition the kids for a CNY performance... wanted 15 kids, but in the end 28 came... haaaaaa! din want to disappoint them.. so i decided to change the script to involve everyone in the skit... after that was the Yellow House practice... all the way till 530... the gang had plans to go momo @ night.. but summer n me not interested.. so we din join them... hehe..
Yest finally got to see dear dear... went ah ma's house for lunch.. though it was a simple fare, but i enjoyed every bit of it... chatting wif ah ma is so comfortable.. though i noe itz hard for her to understand my broken-teochew.. ha... but i m learning ok? haaaaaa.. ah ma and dear also praised me.. say my teochew improving liao.. hehe....
den it was a heart-to-heart talk wif dear... or rather, i listened as dear talked... some issues remain unsolved, and i noe itz hard on dear... jux hope the air gets cleared up asap and things will go back to the normal brutherhood..
den dear brought me to watch "In her shoes" cox i made a passing remark about wanting to catch the show when we saw the trailer last wk.. tatz sooooo sweet dear...... muackz......but cox the show was @ 810pm, we decided to go shopping 1st... ha...... i ended up with lots of shopping bags!!! i am proud to declare that i have completed my CNY shopping!
to date, i have:
1 blazer and 2 long sleeved shirts from G2000,
2 skirts from TF,
1 skirt and 1 top from Iora,
1 pair of shoes from C&K,
1 pair of shoes from Far East,
2 tee tops from Baleno,
1 yellow top from NIKE,
1 top from Fox Women,
2 spaget tops from Giordano,
and a new Bvlgari fragrance
haaaaaaaaaa...... no more shopping for me liao....... the clothes shd last me thru CNY.. but then again, mayb a few more tops? hehehe.......
i blogged while waiting for my laundry... now gg to bathe and prepare to meet dear...

GREAT T1W1 !
i had a great T1W1... everything went well accd to plan....
kids are great... finished covering the syllabus for week 1...
now my P1s go around singing the hypy song i taught them...
a1 a1 a1 ... a1 a 2a3 a 4.... o 1o 1o1 ... o1 o 2o3 o4 ... e1 e1 e 1... e 1e 2e3 e4
haaa... i've got some cute names.. like Maxim Tan (mux be the dad who gave him the name!), and a boy who cannot write his chinese name... ha...
P4A has been really good .. so far... thinking of getting them to buy 2 assessments (gasp!), zhi shi bao, ci yu shou ce as well as the cheng yu card game set... i wanna enter the whole class into the the Chinese Whizkid Proverbs Competition! haaaa.........
P5, though slow.. has been the most responsive class so far.. they love the games i play with them.. went thru the WB with them also.. some of them really had difficulties reading some of the words in the passage... arranging remedial lessons for them w.e.f. week 3...
CCA has yet to start... after Mar
Remedial and Supp classes too... After week 2
i m in Yellow House.... and they put me in charge of house cheerleading during Sports Day.. anyone knows where i can buy those relli nice pongs pongs in either yellow/ gold/ any shade of yellow? and anyone has got cheers which i can borrow? haaaa....
gonna act in a skit during next Mon's assembly... and i am gg to wear the school uniform!!!! they got me a skirt which could fit me.... jux a 'little' bit short... hehe.. tried it on.. and i look like a sec s school ah lian esp when my hair is not tied up... haaaaa... even i myself cannot stop laughing in front of the mirror.. think my kids are gonna have a great time seeing 5 DISCIPLINE teachers wearing the sch uniform on stage on monday!!!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
MY first day of school was amazing!!
met my students from the 3 classes... all v v adorable... hehe... relli wanna pinch all their cheeks... haaaaa
4A class is well behaved generally, gave them the 1st homework todae.. a compo.. ha...
5E is really weak... i mean literally and figuratively... 5 EM3 callibre but in Em2 stream.. wonder how they are going to cope... re-teaching Pearlyn (the ger who threatened to walk out of my class with her school bag some months back... but now loves me sooo much), Marcus (my sleeping king... the one who likes to and can cycle very well...) and Xianwei (ger wif the same surname as me, but very quiet, dilligent, but slightly weak in Chinese) this yr again...
met up with Lai Huat and Sally Goh... the 2 Em3 students placed in my class... first taught them when i was doing my practicum in 2002.. they were only P2 then.... how time flies... they betta not give me trouble man...
my P1 are soooooooooo adorable... 28 of them... one Philipino, one Singaporean-Indonesian, one Malay, one Caucasian.. all doing Chinese! omg.........i got a feeling the philipino and the malay cannot make it... well, shall observe them for a period.. if relli cannot make it den i gg apply for exemption for them...
slpt @ 10pm yest, woke up @ 6am today... v v refreshing.

LAZY MONDAY
slpt my way thru my monday.... ard 13 hours to be exact...
100% home quality time today... started wif lunch, den a mini-revamp of my room, followed by sweeping and mopping, den dinner... and now tv time...
off to bed soon after the 9pm show... tom's the 1st day of work for me in the year 2006!
can't wait to squeeze the cheeks of my students... ha....
i'm all ready for the new year! yeah!

the night of the last day of 2005 was a happening one... went for dinner wif dear and his family @ Turf City... Orang Laut Restaurant.. v v nice set dinner... though it was expensive ($210).. but was v nice.. and filling... hehe.. only drawback was tt it took very long to serve the dishes.. think cox it was full house... hehe... worth going back a second time... esp the fresh steamed fish and big prawns and fresh steamed oysters... hehehe...
after the dinner, dear rushed off for a movie with his brothers4.... din join them cox i went to acc my mum.. after that i met up with my drinking and singing khakis... summer, kajua, bryan, dickson, cris... dickson brought a ger colleague along too... hehe.. she looks very sweet and pleasant... policewoman in-training too... too bad itz a 1 way sparks thingie btwn her n dickson... haiz... had a fun time and i only managed to sleep ard 4am...
woke up some 5 hours later... met dear and we went down for the annual Chong Family gathering...the very first time that dear met close to 40 relatives of mine...though e buffet lunch was not v v fantastic but the company was great! took loads of pics... some of which are on my cousin's camera cox mine was out of batteries... haa.... hopefully dear had a fun time.. heard frm my mum my relatives all full of praises towards him... ha......
after the lunch, dear and i went Parkway Parade to walk walk and do some shopping on the 1st day of the New Year!!! and dear got me a new Nalgene bottle, and i got myself a pair of shoes from C&K , a t shirt from S&K , some storybooks and a set of 30 Disney cartoon vcds for my students... of cox not forgetting a pair of earrings and a ring from mphosis, and a Jay Chou concert VCD.... bought a tee shirt for dear too.. though itz army green colour, but think it looks good on dear... hehe......
after that we took a cab back to his house den ate wanton mee for dinner.. spent some time @ his house before coming home... den my friends (summer, kajua, kevin, aaron and claire) jio bedok 85 supper... but i din go... hehe.. cox too tired liao and they surely come back v v late one... have had enuff fun for the past 2 days liao, so here i m blogging loh... ha....

COUNTDOWN TO 2006
a few more hours left to the end of 2005.
quick evaluation of what i have done this year...
2005 - the 'leong-est' year i can ever recall since i started earning my own keep. so leong i couldnt even afford a new wardrobe.. and lots of other luxuries too lah... despite my stipend back then and tuition committments....cox i was (and still am) such a big spendthrift...
2005 - i finally graduated frm the doors of NIE in June , no longer as a diploma student... (flashback to 2001 when i entered NIE as a diploma student.. i told myself i would work really hard and prove my worth.. lousy A levels were the result of my playfulness..well.. jux glad itz over..)
2005 - the end of my TTC reign. i relli missed the times in TTC, with janice, shauna james and woody... esp Janice ger ger... itz thru TTC that we knew each other, also thru TTC that our friendship blossomed... went thru some of the worst patches of our lives in 2005.. the 'cohabiting' days too... wed nightz.. Indochine..lots of fun... thks gal for all these wonderful memories.. though we r far apart, u r always on my mind.. i read ur blog for updates on ur life.. and am glad that things are imrpving for u n En... jux rem that i'll be ard anytime u need me ok? hugz gal gal...
2005 - made lots of new friends too.. esp glad to foster such a strong friendship with Summer.. itz only been 3 months.. but we share lots of things in common.. jux hope our friendship will be stronger and stronger...
but though i have new friends it doesnt mean i have forgetten my old friends... my sec friends, my jc friends, my group of sisters and more...
i missed the hostel and gnnbccb days with ah yan soooo much... yan's one friend whom i have seen lots of changes in...but definitely for the better. i am sure. we went thru so much ups and downs together that i think one scrapbook wouldnt be sufficient for me to pen down all our 'past doings'... (jux take a look @ my archives and u can see that at least 50% of the entries involve her..haaaaaa) but what i m utterly appreciative of all that ah yan has done for me and for our friendship.. though at times she doesnt claim credit, i know that certain things were made possible becox of her.and though we are both volcanoes in our own rights ( am sure patrick and dear dear would agree with this statement totally), she nv once lost her temper once with me.. .. so of my life's lousiest days were made better becox of her.. at times when i really did not know what to do, she was the one who constantly advised, reminded, corrected, and supported me.. she's the only person who can complete the next half of my sentence, the one who can read my mumblings and hand signs... the one who knows the moment something is not right wif me... i'm relli happy for her, to see her every success now.. be it in academia or love life... and i realli wish that our friendship will become even stronger with each day to come.. despite our different committments now...
2005 - a year also where dear and i weathered thru some storms together.. at many times i was under lots of stress and placed in sticky situations, having to make decisions and stuff... itz all thanks to dear's 'few but powerful' advice which provided me with the strength to carry on and pursue my dreams.. dear's changing.. into a more and more independent and confident person i would say.. a vast difference from the shy guy he was 4 years ago.. on one hand i m really thrilled for him cox i noe that he will be able to make it far in future with such leadership qualities sprouting (D&D vice chairman, IH captain and lots more) .. but on the other hand i am also very scared of losing him for the very fact that he has become Mr Popular in his own circle of friends.. any other ger would jux feel the same too i guess. but assurance from dear (though a bit late at times, but still better than nothing) has relli eased my heart a lot.. esp the night when he told me abt our 4 year plans for e very first time.. his committments to me... and i finally can visualise our plans for the future together... and top it up with our very very 1st trip overseas together after 4 yrs...and my lot @ the Wong Tai Sin Temple in hk... and another trip overseas with his family... itz been a good year for us overall... i jus hope things will continue and head for the better in the year 2006....
2005 - my start to my career too. a magnificent bang i would say, beginning with me going back to my dream school... though itz not a bed of roses... i am appreciative to be in the big family, esp now that things are generally going well for me in my department... jux hope that i will have more opportunities to shine and prove my worth to my colleagues, HOD and principal... i relly love my kids sooooooo much... and they can feel it too.. looking forward to 2006, with a class of 30 P1 kids, as well as a P4 and P5 class...
throughout the year, i've gained some, lost some... but tatz the way life goes on.. you win some, you lose some.. there's no pt dwelling on all the sad things, but instead, look forward and embrace the new year with optimism, passion and confidence! thank you to all those who have given me wonderful times.
with this, i take my leave frm 2005 and await the arrival of 2006.
quick evaluation of what i have done this year...
2005 - the 'leong-est' year i can ever recall since i started earning my own keep. so leong i couldnt even afford a new wardrobe.. and lots of other luxuries too lah... despite my stipend back then and tuition committments....cox i was (and still am) such a big spendthrift...
2005 - i finally graduated frm the doors of NIE in June , no longer as a diploma student... (flashback to 2001 when i entered NIE as a diploma student.. i told myself i would work really hard and prove my worth.. lousy A levels were the result of my playfulness..well.. jux glad itz over..)
2005 - the end of my TTC reign. i relli missed the times in TTC, with janice, shauna james and woody... esp Janice ger ger... itz thru TTC that we knew each other, also thru TTC that our friendship blossomed... went thru some of the worst patches of our lives in 2005.. the 'cohabiting' days too... wed nightz.. Indochine..lots of fun... thks gal for all these wonderful memories.. though we r far apart, u r always on my mind.. i read ur blog for updates on ur life.. and am glad that things are imrpving for u n En... jux rem that i'll be ard anytime u need me ok? hugz gal gal...
2005 - made lots of new friends too.. esp glad to foster such a strong friendship with Summer.. itz only been 3 months.. but we share lots of things in common.. jux hope our friendship will be stronger and stronger...
but though i have new friends it doesnt mean i have forgetten my old friends... my sec friends, my jc friends, my group of sisters and more...
i missed the hostel and gnnbccb days with ah yan soooo much... yan's one friend whom i have seen lots of changes in...but definitely for the better. i am sure. we went thru so much ups and downs together that i think one scrapbook wouldnt be sufficient for me to pen down all our 'past doings'... MEMORIES OF CHRISTMAS TRIP 2005

all in all, a really relaxing trip.. complete wif fun too, esp for dear who won @ the casino... lots of bonding time with his family and his cousins too... sharing beds with his sister was fun too..
his dad says no more gentings and sunway next year.. gonna move a little further out of the region... to..... HONG KONG!
i hope itz true... and i hope i can go too... yeah.. den no nid to wait till 2010 alredi!
i love my dec holidays...... my 1st ever holidays so meaningfully ultilized!
