last wkend was quite relaxing...
fri
got a pair of Lisa Wangs' concert tix as a bdae present for my aunt... woo hoo!!
collected kim's dress frm summer and passed it to gal at night.. had dinner @ AMK foodcourt...
went happy daze wif the S gang (Summer Salyn n Sharon)... stayed for a while den went home cox the stupid cough mixture was making me drowsy...
sat was a full day for me .. after that dear picked me up for fish head steamboat @ AMK.. before sending me home.. itz been a long while since i last saw dear... for almost 3 wks... cox he is having his final exams in NTU.. go go go...
the live band @ DXO is good.. so is their rum orange..
had breakfast @ upp sgn on sun morning.. before tuition... den went to see sinseh abt my hand... bruised wif blood clot it seems.. the physician used needles to 'poke' my hand to drain out the 'dirty blood'... painful... and now my hand is wrapped up in a bandage.... and he says i still have to go back on tue.. sob sob... but ok la.. everything still fine.. except for scrubbing my back! haha... ended the day with dinner with mummy @ Whampoa...we ate oyster omelettee , porridge, and wu xiang... den we went Toa Payoh NTUC to get soem groceries before heading home..
changed my bedsheet, cleaned the room and did a facial mask... relaxing.. fell aslp...
a new week, a new monday, a new beginning...
and tom's labour day!

SICK THU
boo hoo hoo.. i am sick...
went too see doc on Tue evening.. spent $40.. drowsy medicine which makes me slp... and i got a hair cut... but sad to say no one realised it.. except one of my tutees who asked me abt it this afternoon and she said 'not nice'... sad....
anyway.. visited the ISD @ Onraet road yest... quite informative but i wasnt feeling too good so i was not in the best of mood to tour that place.. jux wanted to get it over and done with and rtn to school... had porridge for dinner yest night.. ate medicine.. fell drowsy and slpt....
a friend of mine got into an accident along CTE Havelock yesterday morning.. i shudder at the tot of the words 'accident' , 'air bags' , 'tow car', '69'... really relieved that she is ok.. jus suffered some slight abrasions on her chest cox of the seat belt.. which saved her life actually...
on a side note.. i went to collect my new biometric passport todae! so nice!!! yippee.. all ready for my bkk trip!!!
and.. i also applied for and collected on the same day my Citibank SMRT Card.. can use it to take mrt liao.. yipee ya ya... and i signed myself up for the Citibank Biometri fingerprint service.. and got a complimentary voucher frm Coffee bean and Tea Leaf.. yipee ya ya... gonna apply for a supp card for mummy cox she travels on the mrt almost daily.. hehe... think she will be happy...
had porridge for breakfast, hor fun for lunch and fish soup for dinner.. all light food cox still sick...
itz friday tom.. dear has his 3rd paper... and i will be busy too .. might have another group @ Begonia Road.. haven decided whether to take anot.. the renumeration is quite high though.. hmmm...
can't wait for the 11th to come soon...
bkk... bonus.. pay increment... *slurp slurp*
heard some news abt my pay increment liao.. but nothing is cfm till i see the payslip.. hopefully what i heard is really true...... hmmm......... haha
off to bed now.. itz been a loooooooong while since i blogged using my home pc... and yes... my left hand's blue black is getting frm bad to worse as it is spreading to a larger area... but then again it means that the clogged blood is starting to 'move away' liao.. haiz.....

EARLY MORNING
reached school super early this morning.
0615hrs to be exact.
usually, i'm not even up at this time, but somehow i managed to step into sch early this morning. wanted to take a bus to sch but in the end i still succumbed to the temptations of a cab...
din really get a good rest last night.
i think i even heard pple knocking on my door ard 11pm...
luckily i had Zhang Ying on 88.3 to keep me company...

i have a cold, a sore throat, 2 blistered heels and a swollen left hand.
accidentally knocked into the wall in my sch this morning... suffered a small cut too.. the area is now slightly bruised... but much better than wat i saw this mornig at ard 8am. din noe that it would create an impact.. i always tot that knocks and bruises dont hurt that much.. itz normal.. esp for a person who gets bumped so very often.. but this morning i realised that it is not the case. ouch.
pple say i'm too soft hearted, too indecisive and too easily swayed by my emotions. as a result i always kenna arrowed and given situations where i cannot simply just refuse them and say no.
pple also say that i am stubborn and i insist on getting things done my way without allowing any room for communication nor negotiation....
what do you think?

the only consolation? my flu seems to be a lil better. hope i recover in time for the P6 Oral examinations later this afternoon.
and yes. dear's having his 1st paper today... promised to wake him up @ 645am but i din. luckily he managed to wake up by himself. sorry dear.. i'll make it up to you by waking you up tom morning? haha....

Education Officers to get pay rise of between 5% and 8%
SINGAPORE: The Education Ministry will raise the salaries of its teachers by between 5% and 8%. This works out to 0.8 to 1.35 months of their salary and will not take into account any increases due to promotion. Education Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam said the pay rise is in line with the Civil Service salary review. He reiterated that it is a challenge to bring into the teaching profession those with talent and passion.
Mr Tharman was speaking at a Senior Education Officer promotion ceremony on Tuesday. The minister also gave an update on the various schemes for the teaching service. One of them is the Professional Development Leave, which has been enhanced to allow teachers with at least 12 years of service to take full pay leave for up to 10 weeks to engage in professional development activities. Mr Tharman said about 3,330 of the more than 8,000 teachers eligible for the scheme, are keen on it. As for the part-time teaching scheme, he noted that there are now 200 teachers, a 63% increase.
"The GROW Package introduced last September represents the Ministry's commitment to ensure that teaching remains an attractive and satisfying career for our officers," said Mr Tharman. "Adding the GROW Package measures to the recently announced performance-related payment from the Civil Service salary review, our Education Officers will receive a pay increase of between 5% and 8% in total (or 0.8 to 1.35 months of salary), without taking into account the increases due to promotion," he added. GROW stands for Growth of Education Officers through better Recognition, Opportunities and seeing to their Well-being. "We are able to keep the salaries of our Education Officers in line with the market because we have pro-actively reviewed our remuneration package and stayed one step ahead. with lots of stuff..
jux organised my pics folder and managed to upload some really really overdued pics...
last wk....
i redeemed my starhub pts to offset my subscription fees.. quite worthwhile cox i couldnt find antg else to change liao...
Jim Bean Cola is nice.. but not as nice as Jack Daniel Cola...
my P6 started on their 1st Chinese newspaper article reading...
me teaming up wif Esther and the rest to sell fishballs and malt candy for this Sat's Enterprise Day.. hopefully everything will turn out well.. Kevin Terry and Dallan says they wanna come to my school buy fishballs frm me! haha..
had afternoon tea with Esther and Joyce Lim @ Goodwood Hotel.. v v nice pastries... quality food for quality price.. hehe
went DXO to try their shuttle drinks.. $19.80 only.. quite a bargain.. bumped into dear's pageant partner Joyce over there.. but i was a lil unwell so din tok much too... haha....
Went Hse viewing @ AMK. 8th floor... very very the big.. i like! now waiting to see the valuation price..
settle pymt @ La Belle.. finally!
went Grapevine for their nice Mango smoothie..
had napfa testing yesterday.. tested the kids on inclined Flex arm hang.. smth which i m the weakest in!! haha. but everything was over quite fast...
went da silva after that... so near yet cost me $10... wtf....
after tt i walked all the way out by myself (so proud!) den i hitched on 147 to hgang.. ended up having a steak and a glass of red wine @ Bliss by myself before heading home to sleep...
concussed @ 920pm and woke up this morning @ 520am..
had wanton mee for dinner this morning.. a relaxing tue i think..
i did my marking, did my printing, did my filing...
before i know it it's wed again...
wat is it tom? hmm.. bishan i think...
i need a quality getaway... soon...

cox time and tide waits for no man.

it IS a tiring tue afternoon.
jus ended an extra lesson wif my 6C kids.. tested them on their oral skills todae..
not very happy wif the results... but at least i know where they are weak in...and i noe which areas they need lots of training in...
last wk, i did another round of CPF investments.. hopefully the profits will come in just as fast again...
Bei Sheng Lou dinner was great.. missed the fried calamari..we sat indoors so the ambience was totally different! despite that, yummilicious food...
Grapevine has quite a nice ambience too..tried their hoegarden.. even met tanlim and huimei there!
the chivas @ tang hui was less than satisfying.. but it was to celebrate Kevin's POC.. felt a bit cheated cox somehow i don think their chivas is real.. but ken says otherwise.. oh well...
had crayfish ipoh hor fun wif dear @ hong Lim Mkt on friday.. yummy! den we went over to La Belle intending to pay.. but in the end we have to go to back another day.. oh well.. at least they know better than to mess wif me.. haha...
merchant court dinner wif the sisters on friday night was great! had great fun catchin up and gossiping too! haha.... saw a friend's ex bf too.. he still looks the same.. haha.. glad my friend has found someone much better than him and is getting married soon!!! yipee!
went praying wif family on sat before adjourning to Lion City Hotel for our buffet lunch.. exciting bonding time.. talking abt wedding packages, houses, cars, football etc.. a pity dear couldnt join us..
it was a sensational saturday.
and yesterday was the last stick.
1st badminton session yesterday.. perspired like mad.. but i had a great time.. bathed b4 going to Da Silva... after that had dinner @ amk ... grilled sotong and sting ray.. heard abt the increase in pay for civil servants... but jux checked my pay for Apr.. doesnt reflect any changes leh.. :O( hopefully it will be adjusted in May bah...
leaving sch soon to go K.P.
