finally back... after 14 hours of being with my kids!!!
went to sch @ 9am... spent the day @ Mediacorp for the semifinals and finals recording session for the Chinese Proverbs Whizkids Championship 2005.. brought 2 of my kids , Tang Xin Ying and Weng De Lin for the competition.. den XY came in top 11, while DL came in top 8! She won $1K for herself while he won $3K!!!! omg.. even better than my bonus... sob sob....if only there was an open category for adults... i 100% guarantee plus chop will go and sign up one!!! haha...
realised from this competition also that some tcrs actually made a pact and signed a lawyer's letter with their kids for them pledge 50% of their winnings to their teacher.. reason being, he is the one trains them for the competition... accd to his, such rules were made known to the parents before he trained them, they signed the papers so as to give him 'assurance'... and each kid pays him a 'token sum' of $50 each mth as training fees... OMG... and this time round 3 of his kids entered the semi finals, 2 entered finals.. quite calculation.. tatz $7K in all, $3.5K for him... wah lau! easy money man........ no wonder he took all the extra pains to print tee shirts for them and prepare laminated word cards for them...
well, besides the above, i also met many celebrities too!!! got a lot of the SUPER HOST candidates in the canteen.. but i too shy to go near them.. heheh.. jus 'bio' them from far... haha... but.. managed to take pics wif a few hot favs... Kym Ng, Quan Yi Feng, Guo Liang... and 715!!! omg!!! 715 is sooooooooooooooo handsome in person i tell you.. and quite shy also! haaaaa
