FRI NITE - TEACHERS DAY DINNER 2006

This year's TCD dinner was held at Hua2 Xuan1, a chinese restaurant inside Haw Par Villa... very very grand!!! and the food was very exquisitive too! haha...

There is this Hua2 Song4 Museum inside as well..
showcases Singapore in the 1960s.. quite nice.. took some pics of the exhibits, as well as with my colleagues.. hehe...









after dinner.. went for 2nd round... ktv session!

met up wif summer and gang to celebrate Bryan's bdae @ Taiji.. hehe... the gals had lots of fun singing while the guys played pool.. haha.. den met up wif Crystal too.. Kajua, Kajua's bro, Alan and Eve were also in the area too..so all meet up for a while loh! too bad Crystal wasnt feeling too good becox of Ken, so Kajua, me and Ah Wai cheered her up with some stupid jokes.. haha.. before we proceeded for another round of 7-8-9 game session..a super happening night for me... i concussed all the way till 4 plus in the afternoon..

















It was a really unforgettable and enjoyable TCD dinner! hor Mr Dickson? LOL *winks*

this has been a busy week for both dear and me.

dear and gang are doing the finishing touches for tom's hall xv dnd.. i m pretty sure it will be a BIG success tom! yipee!

as for me, this is the last wk to the Sept Holidays... which means it is the CA week too... jux finished marking my kids' exam papers.. not too badly done.. haha...

mummy jux screwed me upside down this morning for slping late yesterday night... she's not feeling really well recently..and she is angry at me for keeping the lights on late @ night...also keeps complaining her chest is painful.. i hope everything is ok...

luckily, my new darling is cool..

TAIWAN in DEC, ANYONE?

ATTENTION MY DEAR FRIENDS!

i am thinking of organising a 5D4N F&E trip to TAIPEI, TAIWAN during the Dec holidays..

have been receeing @ a few travel agencies.. and here's the proposed itineray:

Date: 4 Dec (Mon) - 8 Dec (Fri) 2006

Travel by : China Airlines or Singapore Airlines

Stay @ Kilin Hotel (near to Ximending 西门町 and their MRT station)

Tour fare : $600 - $650 (inclusive of all airport taxes and 2way transfer to hotel from airport)

The above package comes with a free half day city tour, but i am intending to give that a miss and plan my own itinery instead:

- Visits to Rao He Night Mkt and Shilin Night Mkt, (omg... the best place to eat the Shilin 炸鸡排, 面线, 台湾香肠,青蛙旦 jelly cocktail... and i haven included the stores and shops on the sides of this night market where you can find lots of 跳楼货, like bags for S$5 each etc)

- KTV sessions @ their 钱柜Partworld KTV, (it's cheap and good!lots of new songs!)

- Shopping @ 西门町, (lots of sports shops, fashion stores, handicrafts, bags, shoes etc.. and also sells lots of idol stuffs)

- View of Taipei City from Taipei 101, (this bldg is like our Orchard Paragon, only 10 times bigger bah.. haa..... but the view from the top of this bldg promises to be magnificent.. so see the city @ night..woohoo!)

- Hot spring experience (thinking of trying this which is v popular in Taiwan now)

- Miramar Shopping Mall (a new shopping mall with 3D-IMAX movie theatre & Music Merry Go Round)

- Visit to their Wholesale centre for Clothes (where i expect more more more shopping! haha... )

- Visit to their bookstores (it's huge, it's good and it's CHEAP! haaaaaaaaa)

- AOB (any other places that might come to my mind)

that's abt it for now.. anyone keen? i m trying to negotitate for a group discount if i can get abt 10 pax.. ask your friends.. your friend's friends etc..jus like how Friendster works bah.. we can all travel together to enjoy the discount.. but you guys decide where you wanna go and what you wanna do.. it's a free and easy, relaxing getaway for those who want a break from school/work, love shopping, love eating 小吃, love travelling with friends!

HALL XV D&D COMMITTEE PICS

yesterday was a busy day!

i woke up ard noon.. den it was off to lunch and den i met dear... went to recee for our taiwan trip stuff.. (more details later)

after that, we rushed down to GCH (Grand Copthorne Hotel) to meet up with the rest of the D&D committee.. we lost our way (1st time ok!?!?) haaaaaaaa... but it was very very funny.. @ first we couldn't find it.. den when we did, we couldn't enter their carpark cox we were on the opposite side of traffic.. when we finally found the carpark, dear tot it was for lorries only.. cox he normally enters from another side of the carpark.. oh well.. ultimately we found our way to the ballroom.. haha....

there was a photo session for the entire committee.. den discussions took place... lighting problems.. budget problems.. reminded me of my NYJC CCS and NIE TTC days.. where i would put 101% into the project.. and of cox not wanting to compromise for any glitches nor hiccups on the big day itself.... the only difference then and now is that this time round, i m not a participant but rather an audience..and the man @ the helm this time is none other than my dearest.. and i am sooo proud of him!!! i was quite worried when he told me he wanted to take up the position as the Vice Chairman of the D&D committee last yr.. as i feared that he might be bullied by the other 'veterans' or might miss out on class etc.. but his assurance to me made me see a person who was determined to succeed, eager to try and willing to take responsibilty, and thus i gave him my support!

x months later, the D&D is finally 'akan datang' ... with exactly a week more.. everyone is trying their best to make everything work with their limited resources, manpower and finances.despite all the disagreements, quarrels etc.. i'm sure it will turn out well!

counting to the number of days before dear can reap the fruits of his labour...
