back to update my last 3 days of happening activities....
Friday 19th Nov 04
slept @ 4am. woke up @ noon. went JP for lunch with kershin. bought food for dear. played The SIMS. cooked dinner for dear and me. wanted to watch Singapore Idol with him but last min i had a job lobang.
to pack HER WORLD magazines from 8pm-8am @ $6.50 per hour.
was quite a gd deal xcept tt i had to forgo sleep for 1 night.
i took it up anyway.. cox no money to spend and i din wan to disturb dear who was preparing for his final paper...
i went. venue turned out to be a printing company in Tuas - Times Publishing Pte Ltd.
was briefed abt the procedures to pack... turned out tt the printing was late and distribution was due the next day, hence the rush to pack 60,000 copies of the magazine.
Team A (or so they called us)... was made up of 7 people including me, and the wages was not $6.50 per hour, but instead, $0.22 for every copy of the mag which we could pack would be credited to the team and we would later divide the earnings...
guess how many copies we packed?

2880 copies. a total of $633.60. $91 for me!
$91 for 10 hours of work... approx $9 per hour... not bad i would think... but both my hands were numb after tt.... for a whole 12 hours... reached hall the next morning @ 9am.. bought breakfast for dear and before he could finish it i think i fell asleep! hahaha.........
a fun but tiring no-brainer job...
Saturday 20th Nov 04
Slept my way thru till approx 4pm. dear woke me up after he came back frm his paper. exams are finally over for us !! yeah!!
as much as i was happy, i could not get down the bed. why? my hands were aching like shit. the pain was simply unbearable tt i cried... dear said i might have injured my hand while using the stupid industrial scotchtape cutter @ work..
finally managed to get my butt off the bed after dear massaged my hands for me.. hehe.. bathed and changed and we went to meet Melissa and Jymmy.... guess where we went?
FISHERMAN VILLAGE !!! and these are wat we ate:
- black pepper crab
- oatmeal prawns
- kailan
- tom yam soup
- pineapple rice
- bbq chicken wings
very sumptous hor! hehehehe
oh yes! and we sat in Jym's new car !! hehe.. so many 'mian bao chao ren' hahahah .... very very nice.... had a great time catching up with mel mel.. and we took photos also (see above)... den Jym and Mel still send both of us to our doorsteps.. so so so thoughful...
a great dae spent with people who mean a lot to me... ;op
Sunday 21st Nov 04
woke up early in the morning @ 7am... itz a day of CRUSING!!! (see above for the pics taken)
mummy and i took cab and went to fetch dear den we went Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.. when i reached there i saw so many so many relatives.. @ first only 11 of us gg but last min everyone also decided to go on the cruise... in the end a grand total of 28 pax !! WOW !
changed 2 ferries before we finally boarded the cruise ship... turned out the ship was a super casino ship, with 2 levels meant for gambling in Singapore and Malaysia currency... haha... super crowded also as it was a sunday...
food was so-so only, place was so-so (they HAD a theatre and swimming pool but in the end they were gone)... but the people there were super friendly, casino super crowded, and the beer and cigarettes super cheap!
dear and i went to explore each and every level of the 8 storey ship. found nothing exceptionally interesting to do so we went to the lounge to watch performance and see magic show.. haha.. den later the singers sang chinese songs ... we ordered Tiger beer @ $4 per mug only !!! so cheap hor...
spent the rest of the afternoon walking ard... sightseeing (though there was not much to see)... went karaoke also... and of cox... gambling!!!
haha... i din play those horse horse game loh... haha... i played the "BIG SMALL" game... @ first we lost $50 but in the end we not only covered our losses but also won $150 plus... hehe.... so happy cox itz the 1st time i won in a casino ! hehehhe
reached Singapore around 10pm.. fetched dear home. slept soon after i reached home.
an eye opener and exciting day for me.
Monday 22nd Nov 04
slept till 12pm today. still quite tired. met dear and accompanied him to cut and colour his hair.. now he has copper gold hair.. he says look like an ah beng.. haha.. think the auntie mixed the wrong colour for him.. cox initially the colour we chose was like copper red.. donnoe how come become gold in the end.. haha....
went suntec to watch Sharktale ... SUPER hilarious and meaningful i think.. great show which i recommend.. ;op
and yes... dear bought BABY for me as my Christmas present... hehehe... she's a super big piglet (see above).... very soft and huggable... fell in love with her the moment i saw her.. hehe... gonna hug it to sleep every night.. hehe... thank you dear dear... i is would take gd care of Baby...so happy u noe... hehe... ;op
came back to hall and celebrated Paul's bdae....poor guy... think the rest tortured him liao siao.. by the time i arrived with the cake he was already pinned to the ground liao... but well... hope he had a gd time and his wish will come true ! Sheng Ri Kuai Le !!!
finally finished wat i want to say.. think i super longwinded... haha ..... off i go now... tty tom!!!
